Andrew Armstrong was honored at the annual High School Soccer Awards Banquet presented by the Soccer Coaches of NJ.
The honor was capping off his High School career with his first official NIL deal, along with his All-American honor and being considered one of the top 15 players in the state.
The state’s leading scorer, Armstrong found the back of the net 37 times this year, a feat that’s amplified by the fact his team got knocked out in the North 1, Group 2 quarterfinals and gave some of the state’s other top scorers a chance to catch him, though none did.
Playing Division I soccer at Dayton, Armstrong scored in 16 of Pompton Lakes’ 19 games with 13 multi-goal games this season as he set the Pompton Lakes single season and career scoring records in the process as well.
