Hall Scores in Hull City Draw with Birmingham City

IslandStats.com
Birmingham City fought back from two goals behind to take a point away from home in what was a fantastic advert for the Under-21s game against Sincere Hall and his Hull city Under 21 teammates.

Hull City scored two first-half goals and were in control at the break, but a crazy final 10 minutes saw goals from Byron Pendleton and Harley Hamilton tie the scores, before Brad Mayo saved a penalty to end the action.

The game began as it would go on, with a real high tempo and a lot of quality shown on both sides. Whilst Romelle Donovan and Kieran Wakefield threatened for Birmingham City, the hosts looked dangerous on the counter.

That danger in transition would prove key for hull City, who took the lead through Bora Aydinlik after winning the ball back in the middle of the park.

Before Birmingham City could compose themselves, Hull had another. This time it was Hall who broke through the backline and finished into the near post.

The Birmingham City breakthrough finally came, and deservedly, 10 minutes from time. Marcel Oakley turned his man on the right before delivering into the box for Pendeton, who cushioned a lovely finish into the corner.

In dramatic fashion, just seconds after Pendleton's strike, Birmingham City had an equalizer. Hamilton charged past the Hull backline before taking aim and curling a finish into the net.

If that action was not enough, a penalty was then awarded to Hull City just a minute later. Vaughn Covil stepped up and fired but Brad Mayo guessed correctly and made the diving save down to his right.
