Aston Villa suffered a 2-1 defeat at Ne-Jai Tucker and his Burnley teammates in their penultimate Premier League 2 fixture of the campaign.
Aston Villa took a 10th-minute lead at the County Ground courtesy of Travis Patterson, Burnley were level in the 18th minute, as Tucker’s free-kick was flicked on by Richard Nartey for Dara Costelloe’s to hit home on the half volley.
Villa created second-half chances to add a second but it was Burnley who claimed the spoils courtesy of Dan Sassi’s 59th-minute header.
Burnley continued to press forward, creating a greater number of openings, with Oliwier Zych making a save from Tucker before defender Finn Armstrong hit a post shortly after.
