Ne-Jai Tucker and his Burnley Under 23 teammates consolidated fourth place in Premier League 2 Division 2 with a superb comeback 2 – 1 win, after trailing Birmingham City at half-time, fine goals from Tucker and Michael Mellon extended their unbeaten league run to seven games.
Burnley was down 1 – 0 in the 33rd minute when Kieran Wakefield scored for Birmingham City.
Burnley drew level in the 62nd minute with a classy goal from Tucker. Tucker collected the ball outside the box before dribbling past two defenders before finishing left-footed into the top corner for his fifth goal of the season.
Fourteen minutes later Burnley got a winner with a fabulous team goal. Mark Helm played a short free-kick to Tucker whose ball set Owen Dodgson free on the left. His low, hard cross was converted by the in-form Mellon.
