A first-half goal by Reilyn Turner gave Mia Fishel and her No. 5th ranked UCLA Women's Soccer teammates a 1-0 exhibition victory over Pepperdine at Wallis Annenberg Stadium.
Playing in front of 1,001 fans in the first UCLA game open at full capacity since 2019-20, UCLA got all the scoring it needed in the 31st minute when Fishel and Maricarmen Reyes connected with Turner on the right side. Turner, who scored a team-leading 11 goals in 2020, picked up where she left off, finishing past Pepperdine goalkeeper Zoe Clevely.
Lauren Brzykcy, Hannah Mitchell, and Idalia Serrano combined on the shutout, with Brzykcy and Mitchell each making two saves.
