Bermuda’s Under 15 Girls National Team have taken to the field on the third day of play in Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) 2016 CONCACAF Under-15 Girls’ Championships at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex taking on the Cayman Islands..

Bermuda Starting Lineup: Koa Goodchild, Megan Titerton, Delia Ebbin, Danni Watson, Trinae Edwards, Jaden Masters, Shnyah Akinstall, Nia Christopher, Leilani Nesbeth, Adia Gibbons, Gaiya Melakot

Bermuda took an early 1 – 0 lead when Adia Gibbons found the back of the net three minutes into the match. Leilani Nesbeth doubled the Bermuda lead in the 34th minute as Bermuda took a 2 0 lead into the half time break.

Bermuda took a commanding 3 – 0 lead in the 600th minute with a goal from Nia Christopher.

Bermuda coach Naquita Robinson spoke on the teams overall performance saying, “Overall the girls played at 90 percent of their best which isn't bad considering many of them are experiencing international football for the first time.”

“We started very slowly and allowed the Cayman team to attack for the first 10 minutes. We scored a very good counter attacking goal in the 4th minute and then had to absorb a bit of pressure. Once we started to control the game it became very frustrating for them and we were able to increase our tempo as well as play to our strengths.”

When asked about the back to back games coming up after a day off Robinson said, “A day in between our next two matches we will do some recovery sessions. We will have a morning pool session and a yoga session in the afternoon. We will have a video analysis session in the evening. It’s extremely hot so having a full training session will serve no purpose.”

Robinson concluded by answering how they have found things in Florida, “Things have been really good. Meals have been great the girls have stuck to the protocols.”
