IslandStats.com
Zeiko Lewis and his Boston College Men’s Soccer teammates went down 2 – 1 in Double Overtime to NC State at the Dail Soccer Field, Raleigh, North Carolina.

NC State controlled the pace for much of the first half and had a couple of quality chances. Caleb Duvernay sent a cross into the box 24 minutes into the match and Zach Knudson took a shot from point-blank range, but Boston College Sophomore Cedric Saladin made the save.

After NC State had a goal called back due to a foul, Yanni Hachem had a scoring chance with six minutes left after a nice chest pass from Ade Taiwo. Saladin was there again to thwart the attack.

It was Boston College who converted on its first quality chance in the 52nd minute. Freshman Simon Enstrom sent a cross into the box from the left side. Davock redirected it towards goal and it was deflected right to Lewis, who passed it back to Davock for the goal.

NC State equalized the match in the 67th minute after Duvernay sent a cross into the box. Philip Carmon got a head on it and then Taiwo finished it from close range to tie the game.

In the first overtime period, Enstrom had the best scoring chance in the fourth minute when he handled the ball on the right side. He turned and fired at goal, but the NC State keeper made a nice save.

NC State scored the win in 109th minute when Blotko sent a low cross into the box from the right side. Duvernay was open by himself in the box and he found the back of the net to end the match.
