Liam Evans and his Northern Kentucky University Men's Soccer teammates defeated Saint Francis University 2-0 at the Hartwick College Mayor's Cup. Ronald Moss recorded one goal with two assists in their second win of the season.
After going scoreless for 58 minutes, Calvin Murphy netted the game winner for Northern Kentucky with an assist by Moss and Diego Martinez. Martinez played the ball into the box off of a corner kick, Moss then headed the ball with Murphy beating the keeper with a header of his own. The goal was Murphy's second game-winning goal in two games.
In the 85th minute Moss tacked on the insurance goal with an assist by Dylan Carss. Carss crossed the ball in from the left side with Moss finishing for his first goal of the season.
Former Saltus Grammar School student and Robin Hood player Evans played 28 minutes in his debut for Northern Kentucky.
