The Bermuda Football Association (BFA) announced that it is hosting a FIFA Grassroots Festival for Girls.
The Festival will take place this Saturday, May 16th, 2015, at the BFA Field, from 10am – 2pm. There is no charge to take part.
Girls Age 5 – 12 are welcome to participate. The festival will host a series of fun skill challenges, drills, and small-sided games.
“The idea behind the Grassroots festival is to provide and increase opportunities for more girls to get involved at the grassroots level. We need to have a sound foundation so we can have a sustainable Women's Program.” commented Shequita Parsons, BFA Executive Member and Chair of the Women’s Football Committee, “we look forward to a fun and lively day.”
The participants from this week’s Women’s Coaching Course will be on hand at the Grassroots Festival to help lead the day’s activities.
