Bermudian Coach Hugh Hollis has been named Coastal Valley Soccer Club's Coach of the year.
Hollis guided his Under 19 Boys team to a runners up position in the Silver Elite Division in Southern California Coast Soccer League.
In additional to having a very successful run in league play Coastal Valley were able to make a steady progress in the Southern California League Cup reaching the final 16 in a very competitive Age Group.
Hollis’ team bowed out of the League Cup after reaching the final 16 losing on penalty kicks 5 -4 to the eventual winners. Many of Hollis’ team will be moving on to play college soccer and one has already signed for a professional team in Mexico.
Hollis is currently filling the position of Varsity Girls coach at Dos Pueblos H.S. in Santa Barbara, California.
Coastal Valley are currently undefeated and leading the Channel Island Soccer league with 3 games to play.
Hollis’ Girls Varsity team have players already committed to scholarships at the Collegiate Level and also includes one player that is part of the current USA Under 17 Girls National Team.
