Teara Thomas is a sophomore defender from Sandys, Bemuda. This is her first Athlete of the Week appearance.

Q. What made you decide to come to Florida College?
A. I came to Florida College because I realized it was a place where I could grow in my education, spiritual life and in soccer.
Q. What are some things you bring to the team?
A. The one thing I bring to the team is my voice, being able to communicate to others when they need help.
Q. What is your vision for this season?
A. To get back to nationals and to win it.
Q. Who is your athletic role model?
A. My mom because she was an international runner, so she has always pushed me to be greater and to do greater things through soccer.
Q. What is your favorite hobby outside your sport?
A. Singing.
Q. What are your career goals?
A. To become a social worker.
Q. What is one random fact about yourself that other students would be surprised to hear?
A. My eyes water when I talk in the past tense.
Q. What is your favorite athletics-related memory at Florida College?
A. Last season when we came back from 3-0 at halftime to beat Clearwater Christian 4-3 and I scored.
Q. What is your favorite non-athletics-related memory at Florida College?
A. When I was elected as Aręte spirit leader.
