Castle & IMG Academy Go Down

IslandStats.com
The Ocala Stampede extended their USL Premier Development League winning streak to two against Casey Castle and his IMG Academy teammates.

With the win, the Stampede currently sit 3rd in Southeast Division, a point behind Orlando City U23 and have 3 games in hand to league leaders SWFL Adrenaline.

The Stampede wasted no time establishing possession during the first few minutes. The Stampede never relinquished that grip on possession for the remainder of the game.

The Stampede had multiple scoring opportunities within the first 15 minutes of play as shots from Jack Bailey and Karamba Janneh were just wide of the target. This trend continued throughout the rest of the first half and scoreline remained 0-0 after the first 45 minutes of play.

Castle was only on the field for 32 minutes before going off with an injury. Tre Ming was not in the team for the match.

The second half began in similar fashion to the first but the key difference was two back to back goals in the 50th and 51st minute. The Stampede were able to engineer a goal off one of their 7 corner kicks in the 50th minute when Lewis Hilton’s corner found the head of Darion Copeland who crushed the header into the back of net for the first goal of the contest. It only took another minute for the Stampede to strike again when Freddy Ruiz found a streaking Karamba Janneh on the right flank. Janneh made easy work of goal sliding it underneath the outstretched arm of the IMG keeper for the second and final goal of the contest.
