Djair Parfitt-Williams’ West Ham United Under 18 boss Steve Potts praised his young team after their 2-0 Barclays Under 18 Premier League victory over Chelsea.
Two goals in the first half from captain Kieran Bywater and striker Jordan Brown gave them a solid victory which lifted them to second in the table - just two points behind leaders Fulham.
Afterwards, Potts revealed that it was the manner of the victory at Little Heath that pleased him more than the actual result.
"I was happy with the result, but even more than that, I was really happy with the overall performance," admitted Potts. "I thought it was a fantastic all-round performance. Against a strong team like Chelsea, you need every player to be at their best.
"If you only have six or seven players performing, you'll find it hard, but everyone did their job."
