BSSF All-Star Netball Round Up

Sanaa Grant in Action

It was a rare sweep for the teams in Blue tonight at the Bermuda School Sports Federation All Star Netball matches at Somersfield Academy.

Primary School

East 14 West 11


Sanaa Grant from Northland’s Primary School earned MVP honors for the East with a fine all round display playing both Centre and Goal Shooter throughout the match. Grant led the team in scoring with 9 goals, schoolmate Nevaeh Barclay added 3 goals. Warwick Academy’s Ayshalay Simons led the West with 7 goals with C’aja Steede from Paget Primary adding 3 goals. Jayla Peets-Butterfield from West Pembroke Primary School was named MVP for the West.

East Team:

Middle School

East 16 West 13


The East pulled away late in the fourth quarter to win the Middle School match 16 - 13. Kisaye Bell from Dellwood Middle School led all scorers with 10 goals, Isabella White from Somersfield Academy added 3 goals, while East MVP K’Xiyae Gibbons from Dellwood added two in her one quarter as goal attack. Samai Dunn from BHS scored 6 goals to lead the West, Sandys Secondary’s Arianna Sabir added 4 goals. Cassidy Lathan from Warwick Academy was Named MVP for the West for her defensive efforts.

Senior School

Blue Team 27 Red Team 20


The Blue Team outlasted the Red Team to win 27 - 20 in the Senior School match. The Berkeley Institute wonder twins Nabiilah and Kaamilah Nasir won MVP honors for their respective teams. Kaamilah led the Blue team with 11 goals, Nisaiah Berkeley from BHS added nine for the winners, while Selah Tuzo from Saltus added five. Nabiilah Nasir was the night’s top scorer with 17 goals.
