The Bermuda Netball Associations Women’s Summer League and Coed League season got underway at the Bernards Park.
Women’s Summer League
The Stars defeated the St. George’s Lady Colts 31 – 10, Fredrick Samuels scored 31 goals for the Stars, while the MVP for the St. George’s Lady Colts was Coriah Simmons.
The BHB Angels defeated the North Village Lady Rams 21 – 12. The BHB Angels got 14 goals from MVP Charlene Bogle-Gomez, Donnisha Gardner added 6 goals, and Norette Simmons scored once. Darrika Simons scored 7 goals for the North Village Lady Rams, Jordyn Morris added 4 goals, and MVP Nevaeh Swan scored once.
The Tigers defeated the PHC Lady Zebras 31 – 5. The Tigers got 12 goals from Jahtuere Trott, Jay-lynn Hines added 7 goals, Kessiah Jackson scored 5 goals, Diara Benjamin scored 4 goals, Mica Pond scored twice, and Zarriah Amory scored once. Vernicka Symonds scored 4 goals for the PHC Lady Zebras, while Tyra-Lynn Simmons scored once. Jordyn Ming was named the Tigers MVP.
Coed League
The North Village Rams edged the Storm Casers 26 – 25. Darrika Simons led the North Village Rams with 18 goals, while TeJour Riley scored 8 goals, with Ashton Hart named the MVP. The Storm Chasers got 15 goals from MVP Antione Williams, Selah Tuzo added 5 goals, Elishae Smith added 3 goals, and Kaamilah Nasir scored twice.
The BHB Angels defeated PwC 19 – 16, Charlene Bogle-Gomez and Sheldon Bahadosingh both scored 9 goals for the BHB Angels, while Stacy O’Brien added the other goal, with Demiqua Daniels named the team's MVP. PwC got 10 goals from Caitlyn Lawrence, while Carl Cao added 6 goals, with Carla Le Roux named the MVP.
