Despite the conditions, the Bermuda Netball Associations Senior Netball League Season got underway, with a double header that produced a total of 130 goals scored.
Phoenix Flames 15 Storm 38
The Storm jumped out to a 8-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, the scored seven goals in the second quarter and restricted the Phoenix Flames to 3 goals to got to the halftime break leading 15 - 7. The third quarter was the Storm score 9 goals and held the Phoenix Flames to 5 goals leading 24 - 12, before closing out scoring 14 fourth quarter goals and recording a 38 - 15 win. Zekiah Lewis led the way for the Storm with 25 goals, while Inshannae Smith scored 12 goals and Sonja Townsend scored once.
Robin Hood Ladies 51 North Village Lady Rams 26
Robin Hood Ladies led from start to finish defeating the North Village Lady Rams 51 - 26. Robin Hood led 8 - 3 at the end of the first quarter, the second Quarter saw Robin Hood outscore the North Village Lady Rams 15 - 8 to take a 23 - 11 lead into the halftime break. Robin Hood exploded with 17 third quarter goals and restricted the North Village Lady Rams to 5 goals leading 40 - 16, before closing out the final quarter with 11 goals and the North village Lady Rams scored 10 times.
