Scott Barnes began competing in the SKUSA Pro Tour Summer Nationals Round 4, Barnes competes in the G1 Pro Class.
Barnes would finish on top of the podium for the day.
In the Qualifying Round, Barnes finished with the fastest lap time of 1:03.177, with Joe Ruch clocking 1:03.294.
The pair battled again in the Pre Final race with Barnes again finishing in front clocking a time of 11:32.912, with Ruch clocked at 11:32.998.
In an exciting Final race, Barnes would once again finish first, Barnes clocked a winning time of 19:10.741, with Anthony Stiffler second in 19:20.315, Ruch crashed on the final lap trying to overtake Barnes.
Barnes told www.islandstats.com after the race, “It was a good race day today, I was able to pick up the G1 Pole, Pre Final win and Final win!
The final race was a Battle!!!! Ruch and I changed positions like 6 times on the last 4 laps, it came down to the last two turns, Ruch tried to throw it in and unfortunately, we made contact landing him on his head perfect battle up till then, just happy Ruch walked away ok! Nice hard racing dude!”
