Bermuda’s Scott Barnes began competing in the 23rd Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix powered by Mediacom in Illinois.
Barnes finished 4th competing in the LO206 Heavy 1 Heat One after starting in the 18th position.
Barnes next started in the 12th position in King of the Streets race and powered his way to a 8th place finish against a bunch of fast ICC motors (top 6 ICC's).
Barnes then started 7th in the LO206 Medium Class and raced to 4th.
The next race the TAG Senior class did not go as planned as Barnes explained he was in the worst crash he’d ever been in, Barnes said, “They wanted to send me to the hospital but I had to get back in a kart and next race.”
Barnes finished the day in 125cc Open Shifter class starting 7th and finished 5th behind a bunch of fast ICC motors.
