Jason North and Scott Barnes completed competing in the 22nd annual Xtream Rock Island Grand Prix powered by Mediacom, the world’s largest Karting Street Race.
Barnes took time out to reflect on the event with www.islandstats.com.
Barnes said, "It was a fun weekend, Rock Island is always fun on and off he track. Race results were not want we wanted but was decent. 7th out of 22 in the King of the Streets, and 5th out of 11th in shifter masters."
Barnes continued, "On Saturday i was on the Pole for Masters and broke the Track Record Lap Time in the Heat race. Overall a good weekend and I'll be back again next year."
Barnes concluded, "I had the fastest kart in the Masters Class and should of won that on Sunday, but I touched the barriers coming out of a corner and bent my axel."
