 The Bermuda Rugby Union’s Ariel Re High School League 2019 is underway with a double header taking place at the National Sports Center.
In the opening match the combined team of Bermuda Institute & Warwick Academy defeated Cedarbridge Academy 15 – 12.
Anaya Smith scored 2 Try’s to lead the Bermuda Institute & Warwick Academy to victory with Matisse Bascome scoring the other Try, Devin Augustus scored 2 Try’s for Cedarbridge, with Paulo Sousa adding a Conversion.
In the other match the Berkeley Institute defeated Saltus 29 – 10. The Berkeley Institute got 3 Try’s from Ja’Kee Simmons, while Etreu Adonai and George Peets went over for Try’s as well, Peets would also add 2 Conversions. Saltus would get a Try from Jake Field and Ben Osset.
Meanwhile the Bermuda Rugby Football Union continue to put safety first as they recently offered a first aid training course across all local clubs, with physiotherapist Shara Crunden leading a course in basic CPR and first aid for eight participants from Bermuda’s four local rugby clubs.
