BRFU Mad Hatters Round Up
The Renegades Ladies and Police Men were crowned the 2018 Bermuda Rugby Football Union’s Mad Hatters Champions, following a full day of action at the National Sports Center.

Women’s Division

The opening game was a seesaw affair between the Police and the Teachers and it came down to Mika Tomita’s Conversion to secure a 17 – 15 Police win.

The Police ladies got Try’s from Kira Smith, Estienne Coetzee and Tomita who also added the Conversion, the Teachers got Try’s from Jasmine Mapp, Tammy Lynch and Cerise Woodley.

The Renegades defeated the Mariners 17 – 0, the Renegades got 2 Try’s from Melissa Fields, while Amy Harvey added the other and Laura Mulligan added a Conversion.

The Renegades then defeated the Teachers 12 – 5, the Renegades would get single Try’s from Amy Harvey and Rachel Jenkins, while Laura Mulligan added a Conversion, while the Teachers lone Try came from Najee Pitt-Clarke.

The Police and Mariners played to a scoreless draw, the Police would then have the same result when they took on the Renegades.

Men’s Division

The Police defeated the Teachers 8 – 3 in the Men’s opener, Scott Clarke scored the lone Try of the game for the Police, while Dan Cole added a Penalty Kick, while Conor McGowan had a Penalty Kick for the Teachers.

The Renegades defeated the Mariners 39 – 7, the Renegades got 3 Try’s from Robin Brickell, Jamie Baum added 2 Try’s, while Tom Healy and Lewis Walsh added a Try each, Posh Charlie Craigs kicked 2 Conversion. Paulo Sousa scored the lone Try for the Mariners, with Rory Dublin kicking the Conversion.

The Teachers defeated the Renegades 10 – 7, the Teachers got a Try from David McHugh and Corey Boyce, while Charlie Craig scored a Try and added a Conversion for the Renegades.

The Police defeated the Mariners 12 – 0, Andrew Kemp scored both Try’s for the Police, while Dan Cole kicked a Conversion.

The Police defeated the Renegades 17 – 7, Michael Halbert scored 2 Try’s for the Police, he also had 1 Conversion, while Scott Clarke scored the other Try. The Renegades got a Try from Lewis Walsh and Charlie Craig added a Conversion.
