The Bermuda Triathlon Association today announced that their popular ‘Thursday Night Sprint’ season will start on May 11th.
Held at Clearwater Beach, participants compete over a 200m Swim, an 8km Bike ride, and a 2km Run although there are shorter distances available for juniors.
Racing will take place each week at 6.30 pm sharp between May 11th and September 14th with the exception of May 25th, June 15th, and August 3rd.
Steven Petty, President of the Bermuda Triathlon Association is excited about the upcoming season, “Thursday Night Sprints are designed to be fun and social triathlon races. The atmosphere at Clearwater is very supportive with friendly competition encouraged. It is a great opportunity for newcomers to the sport to test their skills and gain experience whilst racing against some more experienced triathletes.”
Triathletes over the age of 7 (age as of December 31st, 2023 wishing to participate must register on Racedayworld.com. The entry fee for each race is $10, and there is an option on Racedayworld.com to sign up for the entire season for $150. Prizes will be awarded at the end of the season.
