Liberty Mutual Triathlon Road Closures Announced

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform motorists that the Liberty Mutual Triathlon will take place on Sunday, June 25th, 2023 between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:00 am and the following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Commencing on Front Street, Hamilton, and traveling in an easterly direction on the right-hand side of the road along Front Street to East Broadway and Crow Lane. Turn left at the cut-through before Flora Duffy Hill and Crow Lane roundabout. Return to Hamilton in a westerly direction on the right-hand side of the road along Crow Lane, East Broadway, and Front Street to Bermudiana Road. Take a right turn on Bermudiana Road and proceed north to Gorham Road. Take a left at Gorham Road and proceed in a westerly direction to Woodbourne Avenue. Take a left on Woodbourne Avenue and travel south to Pitts Bay Road. Take a left on Pitts Bay Road and continue on Front Street.

All motorists are expected to use caution and avoid collisions with race participants. The race route will be under the direction of the Bermuda Police Service and Race Officials.

Motorists are asked to follow the direction of the Police and Race Officials' instructions to assist with traffic control for this event.

ROAD CLOSURES:

Crow Lane: Inbound lanes from Crow Lane cut-through (west of Flora Duffy Hill junction) to Front Street Outbound lanes from Front Street to Crow Lane cut-through (west of Flora Duffy Hill junction)

Spurling Hill:
Pitts Bay Road:
Gorham Road:
Woodbourne Avenue:
Both inbound and outbound lanes will be closed
From Woodbourne Avenue to Bermudiana Road
From Woodbourne Avenue to Bermudiana Road
From Pitt's Bay Road to Gorham Road

There will be no parking restriction for this Triathlon, but motorists are permitted to park in designated parking bays along any part of the race route. Additionally, motorists must not block the race route or impede the participants in the Triathlon.

In addition, southbound traffic will not be permitted to travel on Woodbourne Avenue from the junction with Gorham Road to Pitts Bay Road between the hours of 7:30 am and 11:00 am.

The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

Flora Duffy Hill: The Police and/or Race Marshal shall direct traffic through this roadway In addition, the Bermuda Police Service is hereby authorized to "Close-Off' streets or portions of streets and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.
