Bermuda pair Sharon Craig and Wenda Roberts competed in the Ironman 70.3 Florida Triathlon event in Orlando.
Craig finished 5th in the Female 55-59 Age Group Division with a time of 5:48:18 that put her across the line 660th overall.
Craig covered the Swim Course stopping the clock in a time of 45:04, Craig then clocked a time of 3:01:35 on the Bike Course before closing out with a time of 1:52:56 on the Run Course.
Roberts also in her First Ironman 70.3 event crossed the line 1,054 overall and she was the 15th Female in the 55-59 Age Group with a time of 6:30:43.
Roberts completed the Swim Course in a time of 53:53, she then clocked a time of 3:00:04 on the Bike Course, before closing out with a time of 2:29:20 on the Run Course.
Following the event Roberts on her social media page said, “What an amazing and emotional feeling after finishing my first 70.3 Ironman. So much love and appreciation for my husband who drove me 20hrs from NY to Florida so I can still participate after cancelled flights. Then he was also my mechanic, #1 fan and the one who held all the emotional pieces together.”
