A record turnout - largest field so far this season as the Bermuda Triathlon Association’s Tri-A-Tri Series continued at the Clearwater Beach.
On a Hot and humid evening a few notable names from the past including Kamryn Minors and Caitlin Conyers who were very active juniors in their day joined the field.
Byron Rencken caught Alec Shepherd on the second lap of the run to take the win with a time of 25:24.6, while Shepherd clocked 25:33.4 with young Tommy Marshall an impressive third with a time of 25:47.0, followed by Tim Patterson in 26:15.3 and youngster Caleb Ingham rounding out the top five stopping the clock in 26.22.2.
First female home was Becky Shepherd who was seventh overall with a time of 26:52.5, with Sharon Hammond second female ninth overall with a time of 27:10.0, sandwiching Bermuda's own Dr. McDreamy, Gerhard Boonstra, between them. It was also great to see Bob and Midge Oliver competing.
