Bermuda’s Kent Richardson took to the course to compete in the 11th edition of the XTERRA in Shelby County, Alabama at Oak Mountain State Park.
The race serves as a Qualifier for the 2016 XTERRA World Championship, a Gold Level XTERRA Pan American Tour stop and a 100-point level XTERRA America Tour championship race.
In a very stacked field in the Men's 55 to 59, Richardson finished 7th out of a field of 17 stopping the clock in a time of 3:06.15.
Richardson said, “My group had the several time world champs and all the other top USA men, it was a very technical Bike Course but fitting for a championships.”
“This was the Southeast Championships and as there is no East Coast Championships everyone show up here to race, so very pleased to place 7th out of the best guys,” concluded Richardson.
