The 2016 Caribbean Age Group Triathlon & Duathlon Championship have been scheduled for May 15, 2016 in Miami.
This event is for age group athletes only. Athletes will be competing against like age, like gender athletes from the Caribbean region only. Winners in each race, each gender and each age group will be crowned Caribbean Age Group Champion.
This year's event will be held on "neutral ground" in Miami, centrally located and as easy as possible for athletes from each Caribbean nation to get to.
The events will be held on beautiful Key Biscayne and will feature a Sprint Distance Duathlon, a Sprint Distance Triathlon and an Olympic Distance Triathlon.
Events and Distances
Duathlon: 1.6k (1 mile) run, 16k (10 mile) bike, 5k (3.1 mile) run
Sprint Triathlon: .8k (.5 mile) swim, 16k (10 mile) bike, 5k (3.1 mile) run
Standard Triathlon: 1500m (.9 mile swim), 32.2k (20 mile) bike, 10k (6.2 mile) run
