Bermuda’s Flora Duffy was back in action taking part in the 2014 South Beach Triathlon in South Beach, Miami. Duffy finished 17th overall and was the 4th Female finisher to cross the line clocking an overall time of 2:06.10.
Duffy had a strong Swim coming out of the water in a time of 22:20, she then clocked a time of 1:03.34 on the non-drafting Bike Course before closing out with a time of 36.02 on the Run Course.
Sarah Haskins won the Ladies race finishing 11th overall with a time of 2:01.59, while Helle Frederiksen was the second Female finisher and 13th overall clocking 2:02.34 and Alicia Kaye rounded out the top three Female finishers clocking 2:05.08 finishing 15th overall.
Duffy said, “I am pleased with my performance today, I finished behind some super strong ladies, but my biggest worry trying to shake a dog that I thought was going to bite my ankles!! That was a bit of a crisis that can only happen in Miami!”
