Three More Meet Carifta Games Standard  (TRACK AND FIELD)

The Bermuda Carifta Track and Field team has increased it’s number by three following today’s Track Meet at the National Sports Center.

Nirobi Smith-Mills met the Qualifying Standard for the Under 17 Boy’s 800m when he was clocked in a time of 1:59.17, with the Standard set at 2:03.00, Sancho Smith came extremely close to meeting the standard when he finished second in 2:03.91.

Delray Rawlins and his Sydney Cricket Club teammates fell well short of their target on Day Two of their NSW Premier Cricket - Second Grade match against Eastern Suburbs.

Eastern Suburbs won the toss and they were bowled out for 220, Udit Mehta was their top scorer with 100, Alexander Bloomfield was the pick of the Sydney Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 9-1-32-3, Rawlins bowled 13-3-37

During the Second Session of the 2018 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships, Bermuda captured One Medal and it was Gold.

In the Men’s 200 Yard Freestyle A Final Jesse Washington clocked the fastest time of 1:39.12 to stand on top of the podium.

Rain halts play at the Bernard Park during the Bermuda Netball Association’s Winter League Season resumed.

Only Two matches were completed in the Under 12 Division before the courts became to dangerous to play on. The North Village Lady Rams Red defeated the North Village Lady Rams White 19 – 4. The North Village Lady Rams Red got 11 goals from Kemauri Darrell and 8 goals from Brianna Ben

Smith and the Pride are preparing to Open their 2018 Season at Home on March 24th vs. Utah Royals.

Bryn Toms and his Bedwas teammates travel to the Gnoll the home of Neath RFC hoping the weather gods don’t intervene this week and the game will go ahead.

Bermuda’s Warwick Academy Swimmers began competing in the 2018 Eastern Interscholastic Swimming & Diving Championships.

In the First Session which was the Preliminaries Logan Watson-Brown finished 5th in the Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle advancing to the A Final touching the wall in a time of 1:54.96, Skyler Powell advanced to the C Final after she finished with the 21st fastest time of 2:02.0

Bermuda’s Vanessa James and her partner Morgan Cipres, were congratulated for their performance in the Winter Olympics 2018 by the French Département de Seine-et-Marne.

One could imagine disappointment, the frustration of failing close to the podium. But no! It was with a smile that Ciprès and James welcomed their fifth place at the Pyeongchang Olympics.
