Three Champions are Crowned at Four Ball Championships

The Bermuda Four-Ball Championships concluded in blustery winds, isolated showers and cool temperatures at the Port Royal Golf Course.

In the Menís Championship Division, Jarryd Dillas and Damian Palanyandi made it 4 in a row as followed up their 3-under 68 yesterday with another 3-under today to record a two-round total of 136 which was 5 shots ahead of the surging duo of Jevon Roberts and Oliver Betschart who improved by 7 shots over their first-round total to secure 2nd with a two-round total of 141. Rounding out the top three was the pair of Richard Neame and Andrew Yates as they finished with a two-round total of 144.

In the Ladies Championship Division, surprise winners Tracy Burgess and Ann Symonds, jumped from 3rd to 1st with two consistent rounds of 77 and 76, respectively. The pair of Kim Botelho and Alisa Sedah captured the runner-up spot with a two-round total of 155, which left them two shots back of the winners. Overnight leaders, Linda Down and Morgan Lightbourne found the conditions tough during the second round as they fell off the pace to finish 3rd overall after producing a scintillating Round 1 score of 72.

In the Menís Senior Championship Division, which was the most tightly contested division over the two rounds, Craig Christensen and Miles Stephens won after winning a playoff over second-place finishers, Micheal McCrimmon and Gary Carr. After the two rounds, both teams finished on 153. The 18th hole was the playoff hole and Christensen and Stephens prevailed. The brother pair of Tim and Barry Brewer rounded out the top three with a two-round total of 155.

Net winners in the various Divisions were as follows: Menís Championship Division, Paddy Cole, and Alan Brett with a net score of 134. They were followed by Elliott Dawson and Rory Spiller who were some 3 shots back on 137. In the Senior Menís Division, Andrew Wright and Malcolm Sutherland captured net honors with a two-round total of 136. The pair of John Whiley and Wayne Balcombe came in three shots behind on 139. In the Ladies Division, Kim Botelho and Alisa Sadeh took the Net Prize.
