Tuff Dogs Present a Cheque to Bermuda Golf Foundation
Tuff Dogs Sports Club presented a cheque to the Bermuda Golf Foundation in the amount of $5,000.00 to assist with their Youth Development Program.
The funds were raised as part of their annual Tatem Memorial and One Love Classic Golf Tournaments held on the same day in June.
Both tournaments were fully subscribed and were a reflection of the diverse and talented golfing community in Bermuda.
Tuff Dogs are committed to providing support for young athletes to assist in their sporting development.
This donation comes on the heels of their substantial boot donation made earlier last month.
The Tatem Memorial was introduced in 2000 as the Maria Tatem Memorial. Maria was the wife of Tuff Dog Softball coach Donald Tatem and was also the teams biggest supporter. The tournament was subsequently renamed the Tatem Memorial after the loss of Donald and son Jimmy who played for Tuff Dogs as well.
This year a second flight was added to the tournament. The One Love Classic and was added in honor of a dear friend Brian Morris who was a great contributor to previous tournaments and was loved throughout the golfing community.
He had a true passion for helping others and for developing young golfers on the island. Making a donation to the Bermuda Golf Foundation was the perfect tribute to honor one of the true titans of Bermuda’s Golfing fraternity.
