The Bermuda Golf Association (BGA), Bermuda Professional Golfers’ Association (BPGA), and tournament officials are pleased to announce the Local Qualifier for this year’s Butterfield Bermuda Championship will be played on Tuesday, October 17th and Wednesday, October 1th with Thursday, October 19th reserved as a rain day. The format will remain as a 54-hole event, with 36 holes played on Tuesday, October 17th, and the final 18 holes on Wednesday, October 18th.

Spectators are encouraged to cheer on their twenty-two (22) Bermudians at Port Royal Golf Course as they compete for three (3) spots in Bermuda’s PGA TOUR event and three (3) spots in the Butterfield Bermuda APGA Championship.
This morning the tournament has also announced that 4-time Bermudian Qualifier and 4-time Low Bermudian, Michael Sims, will receive a sponsor’s exemption into this year’s tournament. Sims’ exemption will be in addition to the three (3) Bermudians who qualify through the local qualifier.
