Camilo Legere produced the golfer’s dream round at the Turtle Hill Golf Course during the Final Round of the Fecchio Cup by firing a 4 over par round of 68 which included a hole-in-one on the 11th hole.
Legere trailed overnight leader Dylan Muso by one shot going into the second and final round, Legere was 6 over after 9 holes with 6 Pars, 1 Bogey and 2 Double Bogeys to go out on 33.
However, he caught fire on the back 9 to post an impressive 2 under par 25 which included the Ace and 8 Pars. Arman Newton improved on his overnight position as he recorded an 8 over par score of 62 to secure the second spot. Overnight leader Muso matched his first-round score with another 11 over par 65 to round out the top three.
In the White Division, overnight leader Louchlan Soutter maintained his steady play as he posted a second round 64 to finish with a two-round total of 134. Lewis MacFarlane remained one shot back as he also posted a second-round score of 64 to finish on 135 to secure the second-place position. Charlie Smith was consistent over the two days as he finished on 145 to earn the 3rd place medal.
The Red Division was the smallest division with 4 competitors vying for the top spot using the Stableford format. Young Freddie P Jones came from behind to capture the top spot with 29 points over the two rounds over 18 holes. Following closely in second place was Jude Espley-Ault who totaled 28 points and Oliver Thompson followed in third place with 19 points.
The Novice Division consisted of 6 players with overnight leader Hugo Adams holding on to his slim lead as his 19 points during round 2 was just enough to edge out lefty Jack Jones by 1 point. Jones also recorded 19 points on the second round to finish on 39. Oliver James completed the top three with a two round point total of 33.
