The Bermuda Match Play Championships got underway at the Port Royal Golf course, with players looking for positions.
Unfortunately, the Ladies Division was canceled for this weekend due to a number of conflicts that caused withdrawals making it an unviable proposition to proceed. It is our intention to re-schedule the Ladies at a later date.
The Men’s Division has been amended to two flights of 8 as a result of a last-minute withdrawal and there will now be a Championship Flight of 8 which will determine the Bermuda Match Play Champion.
The Senior Men’s Division will have Calvin Hendrickson taking the first seed position and Ian Page will take the 2nd seed after his qualifying round of 80.
Adam Perry shot the best first-round score of 3-over par 74, while birthday boy Jevon Roberts and Jarryd Dillas both shot rounds of 7-over par 78’s.
