Elizabeth Parsons and her Wagner College Women's Golf teammates were picked to finish fifth in the Northeast Conference (NEC), the league office announced.
Fairleigh Dickinson was the unanimous preseason favorite followed by Sacred Heart and Saint Francis U. LIU, Wagner, Mount St. Mary's and St. Francis Brooklyn round out the seven-team poll. The NEC has also welcomed Merrimack to the conference as its newest full time member, but they are ineligible to compete in the NEC Championship until the 2023-24 season and do not appear in the preseason poll.
This fall, Wagner College claimed the Niagara Invitational Title behind sophomore, and All-NEC Second Teamer, Heather McLean, who took home the individual title after carding a round of 74. McLean also finished fourth at the 2019 NEC Championship.
At the Vanessa Picciotto Perrine Memorial Intercollegiate, back on October 28th – 29th, the host Wagner College finished in third while placing three among the top-15 individual golfers, led by McLean, who finished seventh overall.
