Day Two of the Gosling Invitational was due to be played at the Port Royal Golf Course, however Mother Nature had other ideas.
Strong to gale force west-northwesterly winds gusting to storm force winds forced organizers to cancel the Second Round.
In a reply to www.islandstats.com an official said, “The Round was cancelled due to course conditions from the overnight rains and the high winds. We resume tomorrow at Belmont Hill at 7:05am.”
David Lawrence will take his one stroke lead to the Belmont Hills with only two rounds to play. Lawrence shot an Opening Round 3-under par 68, Mathias Gronberg and a previous winner P.H. Horan are tied for second at 2-under par 69’s.
Nick Jones is the leading Bermuda Professional player, while Damian Palanyandi is the leading Bermuda Amateur player both shot Opening Rounds of 1-over par and are T4th.
