Mitchell Campbell and his Skidmore College Men’s Golf teammates shot an opening round 320 in the first round of the 36-hole NYU Invitational being played at the par-71 Forest Hill Field Club.
Farmingdale is the early leader at 312, two strokes ahead of Williams and Trinity. Host NYU and Rensselaer are tied for fifth with 325. There are 11 teams competing.
Farmingdale's Chris Fischer is the first-round leader with a two-over 73. Teddy Badenhausen leads Skidmore with a 76. Dennis Biglin, playing as an individual, is tied for seventh at 77.
Mackenzie Nelson is tied for 12th at 79 and Campbell is tied for 16th at 80. Jacob Hempel is tied for 34th at 85 and Gabriel Rossi is tied for 43rd at 88.
