Canadian Professional, Danny King who broke, not only the Belmont Hill course record, but also the Gosling’s Invitational individual Daily record of 62 with a new record of 12-under par 58. A great way to start this historic event, now in its 51st year.
Fellow Canadian David Wetlauffer, King’s playing partner, carded a 8-under par 62. They kept the pressure on each other throughout round.
The open Gross Division saw Damian Palanyandi leading with a 2-over par 72 and Stefano Barioni leading the net division with an even score 70.
Glenn Kelley enjoyed a good day carding and even score of 70. Geoff Piggott is leading the Senior Net Division with a 64.
Nick Jones leads the Bermuda players in the Professional Division carding an Even Par 70 which sees him T9th, while Camiko Smith and Brian Morris are T14th one stroke back.
