World Optimist Championship Update

Five young Bermuda sailors Micah Thomas Raynor, Camille Chin-Gurret, Campbell Patton, Luke Madeiros and Tayte Stefaniuk were back on the waters of the Baltic Sea competing in the 2015 World Optimist Championship in Poland.

Three races were completed today, making it the most racing in one day for the Fleet while competing individually. The three races take the total number of races to seven thus far.

Patton had a remarkable day, he started the day in 205th and when he came off the water he finds himself in 125th with 180 Net Points, Patton recorded finishes of 29th, 16th and 16th.

Stefaniuk is in 139th with 194 points, Stefaniuk had finishes of 55th, 37th and 25th, while Micah Raynor is 176th with 227 points, Thomas Raynor’s top finish thus far is 21st in the second race of the day.

Maderios is currently 237th in the Fleet with 308 Net Points, while Chin-Gurret is in 242nd with 317 points.
