Edward Cross Long Distance Race 2020 Announced

IslandStats.com
www.islandstats.com can confirm that the Edward Cross Long Distance Race will take place in 2020.

The original date for the race was June 15th, but the race was then postponed, but the organizers have decided that the race can now go ahead on July 30th, which would have been the first day of Cup Match.

Comet Racing resumed when the Government entered into Phase 4 and they have held two race days in the St. George’s Harbor, which will also be the starting end of this race.

The 2019 race was won by Dale Brangman and he has been in the water this year, while once again Stephen Dickinson will start out as favorite.

The like of Maxwell Curtis and Gladwin Lambert, and Brangman cannot be ruled out, returning to racing this season is Scott Fox who prior to suffering a back injury was threatening Dickinson from time to time.

The race will get underway in the St. George’s Harbor at 11:00am and the sailors will then make their way to the West End Sailboat Club.
