Thirty boats went to the start line for Race Day Five of the Wednesday Night Sailing that begins in the Hamilton Harbor, spectators were treated to an amazing start to the race with skippers fighting to keep their boats afloat.
With a spinnaker start the winds picked up just as the horn sounded to start the race and the action began with no less than four boats almost capsizing.
Crossfire crossed the line first with a time of 1:01.47 and with their corrected time of 1:07.46 saw them finish fourth on the night. Nasty Medicine was the second boat to cross the line clocking a time of 1:02.57, with their corrected time of 1:08.40 saw them finish eighth on the night and the third boat to cross the line was Cyclone clocking 1:10.25 and with their corrected time of 1:12.51 saw them finish sixteenth on the night.
Man O War was first on the night with a corrected time of 1:06.03 after recording a time of 1:11.27, while Smokin was second on the night with a corrected time of 1:06.51. Honey Badger was 3rd on the night with a corrected time of 1:07.42 making it a Viper 640 one, two, three night, while Mayhem rounded out the top five finishers with a corrected time of 1:08.66.
