Lending Club 2 Record Attempt Underway

The 105-foot maxi-trimaran Lending Club 2 began their attempt to break the Newport to Bermuda Record. Ideal conditions of moderate breeze (15-20 knots) and a small swell allow the boat to reach top speed while maintaining control.

The Lending Club Sailing team of Co-skippers Renaud Laplanche (FRA/USA) and Ryan Breymaier (USA), who is also the Project Manager, Captain Jan Majer (USA), Navigator Boris Herrman (GER), Roland Jourdain (FRA), Jean-Baptiste Le Vaillant (FRA), Stanislas Delbarre (FRA) and Quin Bisset (NZL) who handles onboard media.

Current record holder is the 125-foot Playstation which in January 2000 covered the 635 mile course in 1d 14h 35m 53s.
