Ryan Astwood helped the Boston University Sailing team to finish 6th in the Atlantic Coast Tournament Intersectional Regatta which was hosted by the Connecticut College.
Competitors were greeted with a patchy and light breeze on the Thames River. A southerly direction eventually filled in, with a strong current making the starts challenging for teams.
Several general recalls in both Divisions, until the fleets were able to get their timing down for the start. Four races were completed in both Divisions, before the sun set behind the hill and the breeze died off again.
Astwood sailed the Boston University B Class boat that finished 2nd in the Division with 17 points.
Four races were held with Astwood and his crew Indre Jankeviciute winning two races, they also recorded a second place finish. Astwood and Jankeviciute sailed the boat to a 13th place finish in the second race.
