Kirklands Climb 4 Places in France

Day Four of competition in the Semaine Olympique Française, the fourth event in the ISAF Sailing World Cup saw brothers Jesse and Zander Kirkland moved up four places from 60th to 56th.

After a day of light and shifty winds, many classes’ favorites have collected high scores. The competition was tight today with classes racing in Gold group except in the Star and 470 women.

Pietro and Gianfranco Sibello are now in the lead in the 49er after three more races sailed in the group. The day’s best results were collected by Jonas Warrer and Soren Hansen who progress to second place after two fourth places and a victory.

The Kirkland’s have now raced nine races and have 225 points.

The pair finished the first race of the day and the tenth of the series in 29th, before finishing 27th in the second race, the pair then recorded their best finish of the regatta a 9th place finish in the third race.
