Day 5 - Rolex Miami OCR

Day 5 of the US Sailing’s Rolex Miami OCR has concluded on the waters of Biscayne Bay, bringing together the World’s top Olympic and Paralympic class competitors.

Laser Radial

In a Fleet that has 59 sailors Katrina Williams ended the day in 34th after ten races with 290 points. Williams finished the first race of the day in 40th, before finishing 44th in race two, Williams finished the final race of the day in 32nd.




RS:X Men Class


Alex Jones is currently in 31st overall after eight races. Jones did not finish within 30 minutes of the first boat in both races and now has 213 points.





Star Class




Peter Bromby and Lee White moved up from 10th to 9th in the 55 boat Fleet with 120 points after eight races. The pair finished the first race in 10th before finishing 15th in the second and final race of the day.








Laser Fleet


Cameron Pimentel is currently in 16th place in the Silver Fleet after 10 races with 237 points. Pimentel finished the first race of the day in 21st and he did not start the second race..







49er Class


After twelve races, brothers Jesse and Zander Kirkland finished the day 18th in a field of 30 sailors. The Kirkland’s finished the first race in 10th place, before finishing 12th in race two. In the third and final race of the day the Kirklands finished 17th and have a total of 229 points.
