Tyler Butterfield is expected to compete this coming Sunday December 1st, in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. Butterfield will be taking part in the Ironman Cozumel.
Butterfield will take part in the Swim that will cover a distance of 2.4miles or 3.8km, he would then ride the Bike Course covering the 112miles or 180km and then he would then Run 26.2miles or 42.2km to finish.
Just under a month ago Butterfield finished 7th in the Ironman Hawaii World Championship Course.
During that event Butterfield came out of the water in a time of 51:24, Butterfield was 27th out of the water, he had moved up twenty places after he completed the 112 mile Bike Course, Butterfield clocked a time of 4:30:12 on the Bike. At the 5.2 Mile mark on the Run Course Butterfield moved up to 4th place, two miles later he was in 5th, however at the 10.3 Mile mark Butterfield had moved up to fourth again and he would stay there until the 25 mile mark where he had fallen two places to sixth, Butterfield was overtaken by another runner in the final mile clocking a time of 2:58:22 to finish 7th overall clocking a time of 8:24:09.
Butterfield will be looking to finish with another top ten performance to end the year.
