 Members from the Gold Squad at Harbour Swim Club will travel this weekend to compete in the Bahamas National Swimming Championships in Nassau.
As COVID has presented many restrictions for the swimmers, eliminating both CARIFTA and CCCAN for the last two seasons, this opportunity will provide many of the younger swimmers their first taste of International Competition.
It’s also an important step for senior Gold Squad members as most of them haven’t had the opportunity to compete internationally in over 18 months and some are looking to achieve times for upcoming FINA events, such as the Junior Pan American Games.
The Championships begin on June 24th and are one of the final Olympic Qualifiers for Tokyo 2021 at the end of July.
Representing the Gold Squad will be Jack Harvey, Myeisha Sharrieff, Brandon Adkins, Elena Pearman, Agathe Candillon, Arabella Newport-Derbyshire, Ava Pedro, Violet Smith, Emma Harvey, Caleb Ingham, Finn Moseley, and Sam Williamson.
