Bermuda Short Course Record Breakers 2023

With the year for swimming Short Course coming to an end, www.islandstats.com now brings you the National Swimming Records broken in 2023 for Bermuda.

Emma Harvey broke her own Women’s 15 & Over 100m Short Course Butterfly record when she touched the wall in a time of 59.45, during the BASA Winter Meet.

Elijah Daley competed in the Age Group International Short Course Canadian Championships, and during the 200m Butterfly Preliminaries Daley clocked a time of 2:06.07 finishing 4th, in the 200m Butterfly Final, Daley clocked a Personal Best time of 2:01.19, both times broke Jason Krupp record time of 2:08.70 set back in February of 1991.

In October Daley was back in action competing in the Invitational Hall of Fame Swim Meet 100m Backstroke 56.97, he would break Jack Harvey’s time of 57.84 set back on November 26th, 2020 during the BASA Winter Age Group Championships.

During the GoCardless Swimming England Short Course National Winter Championships Sam Williamson broke the Bermuda National record in the Boy’s 200m Individual Medley Preliminaries.

Williamson clocked a Personal Best time of 2:01.74, which broke a 23-year-old Bermuda Open Record, previously held by Stephen Fahy of 2:01.85 set back in 2000.

Williamson then during the Open Male 400m Individual Medley A Final in the GoCardless Swimming England Short Course National Winter Championships, Williamson clocked a time of 4:20.50, which broke his own Bermuda Open Record.

Williamson during the Boy’s 100m Individual Medley Preliminaries of the GoCardless Swimming England Short Course National Winter Championships clocked a Personal Best time of 55.93, breaking his own Open Bermuda National Record, which he set back in November of this year during the 2023 British Universities & Colleges (BUCS) Short Course Championships in Sheffield.
