Myeisha Sharrieff and her Howard University Swimming and Diving teammates claimed second overall at the Northeast Conference (NEC) Championships, recording 1,157 points over five days of competition. Senior Michaela Spears, juniors Kelsey Roberson and Zaylie-Elizabeth Thompson, and sophomore Zuilda Nwaeze capped off the event with a second-place effort in the 400 Freestyle Relay, clocking in at 3:25.35. Individually, Thompson earned silver in the 200 Breaststroke with a 2:19.94 mark while Roberson took third in the 100 Freestyle clocking 51.52. Other notable performances included rookie Jasmine Morgan competing in a swim-off against LIU's Allie Bashor in the 100 Freestyle finishing ninth overall after registering a time of 52.78. During the podium festivities, Nwaeze and Wagner's Rebeka Luoto were named NEC Co-Outstanding Swimmers. The Maryland native set a pair of conference records while placing fourth in the 200 Fly. Central Connecticut State captured its second straight NEC crown and eighth overall, racking up 1,473.5 points during five days.
