There was plenty of smiles at the LF Wade International Airport as the Bermuda Caribbean Island Swimming Championships (CISC) team returned home.
A total of 34 medals were won during the championships, with Emma Harvey setting two new Caribbean Island Swimming Championship Records.
Harvey who already returned to school in England broke the CISC 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Butterfly on her way to winning the Gold Medal with a time of 1:04.20, Emma Harvey is also the 13-14 Girls 100 LC Meter Backstroke CISC Record Holder as she captured the Gold Medal touching the wall in a time of 1.05:92.
Rebecca Heyliger who will represent Bermuda at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games said, “I had a good meet given the fact that I had not put much prep work into this one, but travelling with this group of athletes has showed me Bermuda has a lot of talent and they have a lot of energy.”
